Cómo funcionan las pruebas de COVID-19

01 Debe hacerse la prueba en el momento adecuado

Hacerse la prueba muy temprano puede dar lugar a falsos negativos, independientemente del método de prueba. Haga clic AQUÍ para conocer cuándo debe realizarse la prueba

02Programe una consulta

Obtenga una referencia médica reservando una consulta virtual o visite a una Clínica Bienestar durante el horario de pruebas para una evaluación.

03 Preparación

Traiga su tarjeta de seguro, prueba de identidad y sepa qué prueba le gustaría hacerse. Haga clic AQUÍ para ver las opciones de prueba que tenemos disponibles.

04 Toma de muestra

Al llegar al establecimiento, siga las instrucciones del personal de Clínica Bienestar. El suministro de pruebas rápidas puede variar según la ubicación.

05 Sus resultados

Los resultados de las pruebas rápidas se entregan el mismo día. Los tiempos de respuesta de los resultados enviados por laboratorio varían según el volumen del laboratorio. Todos los resultados se enviarán por correo electrónico a través de un archivo .zip. La contraseña es la fecha de nacimiento del paciente: MMDDAA.

– Aprobado para la mayoría de viajes y cirugías.

3. Prueba rápida de antígeno*

01. Test At the Right Time

If you currently have symptoms of COVID-19 for more than 3 days, we advise to get either a rapid COVID-19 PCR or Antigen test with same-day results, or a PCR COVID-19 test that is sent to a third-party lab. If you want to use your health insurance to cover testing, you will need to ask for a COVID test that is sent to the lab. The lab-sent results are typically back within 2-7 days, depending on outside lab volume. We will call and email your results when they come back from the lab.
If you were exposed to a COVID-19 infected person and your exposure was less than 3 days ago:
- Go home and quarantine until the virus can be accurately detected on a COVID-19 test, usually between 3-5 days after exposure. Testing too soon may lead to false negative test results regardless of the testing method, and may cause you to infect others.
- If symptoms develop, it’s recommended to get a COVID-19 test. Either a rapid PCR or rapid Antigen test, or a lab send-out PCR test.
- If you do not develop symptoms 3-5 days after an exposure, but you still want to make sure you are not infected, it is recommended to get a COVID test. Either a rapid PCR or rapid Antigen test, or a lab send-out PCR test.

03. Get ready

1. Lab-sent PCR: RT-PCR (Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction) tests the virus’s genetic material, which is considered the gold standard in detecting SARS-Cov-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. This sample is sent to an outside lab for testing. The lab-sent test is typically covered by most insurance with results reported within 2-7 days depending on lab volume.
2. Rapid PCR: This is the same RT-PCR test that is sent to the lab, but is done at POC (Point of Care) at a Marque Urgent Care clinic. Results are reported back same-day and only available at a Marque Urgent Care clinic at a cash-pay price of $215/per test.
3. Rapid Antigen: Antigen tests detect specific proteins on the surface of the virus unlike PCR where it detects the virus’s genetic material. Though antigen tests are less accurate than PCR, it is a good option if you are symptomatic. Results are reported back same-day and only available at a Marque Urgent Care clinic at a cash-pay price of $120/per test.
